Once you have established the size of your rug, you can start to think about what color to purchase. You can choose colors that will match with your paint scheme, colors that are light or bright to make the room look bigger, or just simply a color that you like. Shower Doors Enhance Showering

If you’ve ever traveled abroad and had to shower in sub-desirable conditions, you know the wonderful feeling of returning home to your own nice hot, big shower. Well, showers have become more that just a watering hole, but are now steam enclosures that act more as a sauna than a shower. How do they work? What are the components? What are some options?

Steam showers use a special panel to serve as a multi-function shower. Like traditional shower door enclosures, glass panels secure the shower area. However, with a steam shower, glass panels are floor to ceiling with a special swivel panel installed. This swivel panel allows steam to escape or stay enclosed in the shower area.

The swivel panel is just a small glass panel that uses a special swivel hinge to rock back and forth creating a small opening. Glass panels also use special vinyl gaskets that contain steam within the shower.

The hinged panel is typically placed at the top of the unit, usually at about 80 inches. It can be small, or rung the length of the shower. The design of the steam shower is one that can be discussed with engineers to create the perfect steam shower.

It is important to open the panel after showering so that moisture does not stay contained within the shower enclosure. This can lead to problems with mold and mildew. Proper maintenance is key to having a long lasting shower door enclosure.

Start having the shower of your dreams today and invest in a steam shower door enclosure. Not only does it enhance your showering experience, but it adds the value of the home.

Steam Shower Enclosure Benefits

A steam shower enclosure is a sealed unit that has a steam generator that develops a big amount of steam in a short period of time. This allows the steam to completely have the enclosure and is prevented from escaping due to seamed and magnetically sealed doors. In addition to the steam bath which is very similar to a sauna, a steam shower enclosure also has all the regular features of a ancient shower stall.

Most commonly these units will have an overhead shower intended to mimic a natural rain shower. In addition to this most steam showers also have a hand held wand for washing as well as massaging jets mounted in the walls.

The purpose is to sit in the steam similar to a wet style sauna, different from infra red saunas in that it is a wet heat as opposed to a dry heat, which promotes heavy sweating. You sit in the steam shower enclosure for between 5 minutes to one hour depending on the temperature you place it at as well as your tolerance to heat. After this period of time you are covered in sweat and then have the option of showering off without changing locations. Read the rest of this entry »
